Day 300: Can't believe it's almost been a year since I arrived here and things aren't getting any easier; If anything things are going at a faster speed. My au pair job is coming to an end in just a few days but it doesn't mean I'm off to a beach somewhere to enjoy the summer. Au contraire mon ami, I start an intense training week for my second job next year to teach kindergartners. After I start babysitting for an American family and in August my friend comes to visit me and I get to play tour guide and show her why I love this city. Meanwhile I have to be ready for my visa renewal appointment, I need to somehow improve my French significantly because after the next year I need a close to fluent speaking capacity to get my Masters. And perhaps perfect my blogging skills, because we all know they need some help.
As much as I want to act like I will be super busy, I will NEVER be busy enough for summer Paris. I am talking about sunset picnics by the seine, an apero at someone's place while talking about politics, travel and food in different languages, early morning museums visits to just sit on a bench to analyze every inch of that work of art. At the end of the day I rather be running from one thing to the next than just sit in my room wondering if I can really stay here. Knowing that I have a "next" step is better than stressing that I don't have anywhere else to turn.
