The leaves are changing color faster than they should and Starbucks whipped out their Pumpkin Spice Latte before I even got a chance to switch out my closet. But seriously, the weather is getting colder and I got my 5 top picks for fall shoes to keep your pretty little toes warm this season.
The Every Day: Black Ankle Booties
Every girl needs a simple black ankle bootie. These are perfect for any outfit, going from day to night, or with a simple pair of jeans to pairing them up with a cute pair of tights. I'm not talking about your black party heels that are over than 3inches tall, I recommend something low and sturdy like a block heel and keep it under 3inches. That way these babies can be your go-to heel no matter what! From running an errand, (picking up some Starbucks...let’s not lie to ourselves) to going to work or school, even going on a date or dancing your night away.
The Every Other Day: White Booties
My obsession started in Paris. I would scour every Zara or Mango for the perfect white shoe. This year white boots became a big must and I have no objections. It gives something to an outfit a black boot can't. I currently can't stop wearing my Michael Kors ones that I luckily got on sale, and the compliments keep pouring in. Fair warning though, they are a high maintenance but aren't we all.
The Weekender: Burgundy Boots
I love fall colors, the burnt oranges, the mustard yellows, the coffee browns and my favorite, burgundy red. This color is perfect for a subtle statement. It can give a pop to an all black outfit or the touch of sexiness for a night out. Something about this red reminds me of my Parisian’s nights sitting by the Seine, drinking a little too much Bordeaux with friends. I felt classy with a touch of a wild side. The same feeling I get every time I step into my burgundy boots.
The Long Week: Knee High Boots
The women love it. The men love it. The boot can complete any outfit. I have to have at least one pair of knee high boots for fall. I had them in black, tan and even in royal blue. They somehow make your jeans look like they fit your body better. They can give a dress a warmer feel. Or like Ariana Grande showed us best, it can make any over-sized sweater into a complete outfit- no pants required.
The Holiday: The Mary Jane
This shoe is a must have! A comfortable block heel with a sexy strap makes your fall outfits fun. It gives a girly twist to any casual outfit. Pair it with a skinny jean and a classy white button down or my favorite way, with colorful tights and a black dress. This was one of my favorite heels to wear around Paris. I found them at a store called Jonak. Their shoes are made our of leather and super comfortable and will be sure to last. The pumps dressed me up with the facility of being able to run around the cobblestones of Montmartre or run up the stairs of the metro station. C'est la base!
