If you didn't take a picture with the Eiffel Tower, did you really go to Paris? Living in Paris for almost two years I saw myself getting drawn to the same places for pictures. These are my favorite 6 places to take snaps.
1) Trocadero
Across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower is the perfect place to take pictures with the infamous tower. The only downside is this is not a well kept secret. It will get painfully crowded so I suggest waking up early or just being patient for the best spots.
2) Pont Alexandre III
In my humble opinion... Pont Alexandre III is the prettiest bridge in Paris. It's light blue, gold accents and exquisitely decorated. AND you get the Eiffel Tower in the background.
3) Musée du Louvre
The inside of the museum is as gorgeous as the outside. The unmissable glass pyramids, the intricate architecture and don't forget the beautiful arched hallways on the sides. One of my guilty pleasures in Paris is to go to the Louvre at night time with a bottle of Rosé and people watch. I love watching people wear their highest heels to get the perfect instagramable picture, not gonna lie.... I do it too.
4) Palais-Royal
A little off to the side of the The Louvre, you will find the entrance of The Palais-Royal. It is a fun area to have a photoshoot. With different sized striped columns lined up, get creative with your pictures. If you dare climb up the tallest column or go into the hidden away garden in the back, you will have unforgettable pictures.
5) Montmartre
In the 18th arrondissement, perched on a hill is the artistic area of Montmartre. It seems stuck in a romantic time of artists, writers, and poets. With it's cobblestone streets, colorful doors and a great view of Paris, everywhere is a potential photo op. Don't forget to visit the bottom part of the hill also known as the red light district where the well known windmill of the Moulin Rouge glows bright red at night.
6) Sacre-Cœur
On the very top of the Montmartre hill, you will find the famous basilica Sacre Cœur. Grab a bottle of wine and sit on the steps while watching the glow of the Parisian sunset color the city gold. The sites around the Basilica are worth the walk for cute pictures. The back of the Basilica you will find a beautiful quaint garden, and off to the side you will see stone steps that lead to beautiful nature path that is flourish with colorful flowers during the spring.
